Memorial Day Promotional Round Up!
Memorial Day is an American holiday observed the last Monday of May and honors those who died while serving in the U.S. military. In addition to being a solemn celebration – it also serves as the unofficial beginning of summer.
Schools are wrapping up for the year, pools are ready to open, and the grills are heating up! Many big retailers are running their first big sales of the season, but what better way to honor the true spirit of Memorial Day than to give our retired and active duty men and women a little break at the cash register? Check out a few promotions we have seen, and consider trying them at your location.
And, don’t forget to thank any men and women in uniform for their service.
Hooters for Heroes – What could be more American than hot buffalo wings and cold beer for our service men and women? On Memorial Day, both active duty and retired military received 10 free wings with the purchase of a drink at participating Hooters locations.
Grilled To Go – If you’re active duty or retired military, Charley’s Grilled Subs wants to buy you lunch on Memorial Day. Those who stopped by received a FREE grilled sandwich at participating Charley’s locations.
Discounted Destinations Westgate Resorts offered 31% off the “best available rate” at 23 resorts in 11 destinations for active duty and veteran military.
Basic Training Fitness club, 24 Hour Fitness, provided our nation’s heroes with complimentary access to more than 400 clubs across the nation. Active, reserved and retired military men and women (and their guests) were invited to work-out for free all weekend.
