Good LSM: Anniversary Celebrations

Hosting an anniversary or birthday party for your business is a great way to celebrate the launch of a new product or service, celebrate with (and thank) your customers and bring your community together. They often drive traffic and/or trial, and create loyal, engaged customers.

Instead of making it all about you, use the opportunity to make it all about your customers! The focus of the celebration should be thanking them for their patronage! We love this example from Vinoteca, a wine bar in Washington, D.C.:

It’s a simple celebration – an all night happy hour – but the personality of the event is fun, social and, most importantly, grateful! Vinoteca’s happy hour includes $5 wines and beer, discounted sangria and snacks – definitely a meaningful promotion for their wine-loving customers!

You could take your anniversary celebration one step further by using the party as an opportunity to make a donation to your charity partner or unveil a new product or service! As long as you keep the focus on the customers, you can’t go wrong!
