We’re kicking off the week with wine shops!
The SE Wine Collective in Portland, Oregon is combining a love of wine with a love for animals. Their Whiskers, Wags & Wine event on Valentine’s Day serves as a fundraiser for the Animal Rescue and Care Fund.
Guests will enjoy fine wine (donated by premier Oregon wineries), appetizers and chocolate truffles and can enter a raffle to wine baskets of wine and chocolate. With all proceeds benefiting the Animal Rescue and Care Fund, this event serves as a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their customers, all the while giving back to a charity in need. Cheers to that!
Washington, D.C. wine boutique DCanter will be hosting a Valentine’s Day wine class entitled, “The Perfect Dessert for Your Valentine.”
The class, which showcases six different dessert wines, promises to take the “mystery out of those tiny bottles.” By pairing them with savory cheeses, locally made desserts and fresh fruit, they offer their customers a fun and educational Valentine’s Day date. Plus, discounts are available for wines tasted in the class. How sweet!
