Make Your Location a Destination: Host Game Nights!
Game nights are fun and easy ways to encourage your customers to socialize and come together as a community. Plus, they are the perfect opportunity for you to drive traffic to your location on a slower night, and offer some special deals or samples to your customers! Below you’ll find a few great ideas for game nights!
Host a Trivia Night!
Everyone loves trivia – where else can you put to use all those sports stats, pop culture tidbits or random science facts that you’ve held onto for all these years? Create a little friendly competition within your customer base by hosting a weekly trivia night. Offer food and drink specials, and give away weekly prizes to the winning teams. Ventnor Sports Cafe in Washington, D.C. regularly hosts Trivia Nights and sometimes creates a theme for the night. Below, they pair Texas beer with Texas trivia – it’s a no-brainer!
Old School Games
You don’t need a flat screen TV or new equipment to host a game night! Go old school by hosting a board game night: checkers, Jenga, Battleship, or Connect 4 are games that are easy and fun to play. When coupled with food and drink specials (like Swirl Wine Bar), this type of game night becomes a break from the ordinary (i.e. loud) bar night for your customers.
Creative Contest
Have your customers get creative (and visit your location!) to compete in an art competition. MOOYAH Burger & Fries is asking their customers a different question every week for 4 weeks, and asking them to draw their answer on the chalkboard wall in-store. Get in the Game
Piggyback on a national sporting event by putting together a tournament bracket or other form of friendly (and legal) betting pool. Fiddleheads Restaurant opened a March Madness Pool for their customers, and also hosted an Oscar party – complete with prizes for the customers that correctly guessed all the winners. Fun, easy, and relevant to your customers!
