LSMerriment: Georgetown Jingle & Trees Benefit Charity

In Be Calendar Relevant, Be Locally Relevant, Build Awareness, Support Local Charities

This year the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC is celebrating the 8th Annual Georgetown Jingle. It’s a family-friendly holiday extravaganza they host each year with Washington’s interior design community to raise funds for local Medstar Georgetown University Hospital’s pediatric oncology programs.

Designers decorated the lobby of the hotel with 18 holiday-themed trees and vignettes that displayed starting December 4 for all to enjoy.

The December 15 Georgetown Jingle event featured two acts…Holiday Wonderland with family-centric activities, followed by Anything Can Happen!, an adult only cabaret evening. Tickets are sold to the events to raise money AND the designer-created trees and vignettes are included in the event’s silent auction.

Plaques on display in the lobby with each tree provide information on the designer and the purchase price.

What a great local event to raise money and awareness for a local charity. Additionally it provides lovely decorations for the hotel for all to come and see.

A very merry celebration indeed!
